The morning panel session, The Wealth of Networks: Digital Economies and Next-generation Internet will offer the opportunity to discuss the shape of the Next-generation Internet with leaders from research and industry.
Panelists Professor John Darlington (Director, Internet Centre), Dr. Gary Graham (University of Manchester), Dan Appelquist (Vodafone), John Barr (451 Group), Nick Leon (Design London), John Hand (EPSRC), and David deRoure (University of Southampton) will field questions from the audience, led by Moderator Gareth Mitchell (Digital Planet, BBC World Service). This will be a broad discussion covering all aspects of how “going digital” changes our lives and our world.
Among topics that will be discussed are:

- Multiple tier Internets:public and private on the Internet.
- Ownership: Do I own my data?
- Security and identity on the Internet: who am I in the digital economy?
