Help shape the Next-generation Internet!
Wealth of Networks is a one-day forum, being held on July 24th at Imperial College London, bringing researchers and industry together in conversation with the public to chart the direction of research for the Next-generation Internet in the UK.
The main event is an open panel discussion moderated by Gareth Mitchell, the presenter of Digital Planet on BBC World Service. He will be fielding questions from the audience and posing them to a panel of researchers and industry representatives. For all those ideas, questions, or obsessions you’ve always wanted to fling at the experts, with a large audience to back you up, this is the ideal occasion.
There will also be break-out sessions in the afternoon on topics like e-Government, Healthcare in the digital age, Trust and Security, and Travel in the digital age, where you’ll be able to talk to panelists directly and work with them on the recommendations that we’ll be handing to the Research Council after the dust has settled on the meeting.
Attendance is free, but pre-registration is required, and places are limited to 200. So don’t wait to register! You can book a place at: http://wealthofnetworks.eventbrite.com
For those of you who can’t make it, we’ll be setting up a backchannel network shortly. Watch this space!
You can also follow us on twitter: http://twitter.com/wealthofnetwork
We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

Hi,
could you tell me when the backchannel will start?

Hi Annamaria,
Because we knew that we weren’t going to have wifi coverage during the event, we decided not to proceed with launching the backchannel. We’re hoping that enough conversations can be captured here, on twitter and in the blogroll…
But if we got it wrong and there’s still a use for the Backchannel, let us know – we can still get that live.
